The Australian Horse Industry Council is disappointed to learn that Pony Club Australia and the National Campdraft Council of Australia have taken the step to form a new pleasure horse association at a time when the rest of the horse industry has been working so hard to come together to meet the requirements of PIMC Communique 23.  This is being done under the false pretence of a lack of representation of the recreational sector by AHIC.

This potential fragmentation of the Horse Industry may disrupt the efforts of the majority to reach a mutual agreement on signing an Emergency Animal Disease Response Agreement which is so vital to the future of our industry.
